It turns out that a smile is one of the main forms of interaction between the newborn child with others. Kids use it to establish contact. Scientists from the University of California believe that children can smile to make another smile. In the study, they programmed the robot-child for certain behavior, followed by interaction of students with the miracle of technology, writes The Free Press Journal.
The researchers used the inverse algorithm of communication between robot and man. Data for creating the virtual program was going with the participation of 13 mothers and their children.
In the study, the robot interacted with the students. The researchers noticed when the robot was smiling, the subjects experienced positive emotions and smiled. While scientists do not know whether it is a deliberate mechanism of behavior.
