Waiver of sweet drinks will not save you from decay – study

Scientists from the University of Melbourne found that any drink with high acidity (low pH) and content of carbon dioxide is dangerous to tooth enamel. Not only sugar, but acid destroys your teeth and causes tooth decay, writes Prothom Alo.

The majority of soft drinks, according to the study, leads to reduction in the density of tooth enamel. Regular consumption of such drinks softens the enamel on 40-50%. The content of sugar in beverages has little impact on oral health.
