Urolithiasis in children leads to heart disease – study

Specialists from the National children's hospital in Ohio found a link between the type of kidney stones and children's atherosclerosis. The development of heart disease at an early age faces dangerous diseases and even early death, writes NDTV.

Scientists compared the thickness of the arteries in 15 children with urolithiasis and 15 healthy children. Initial forms of multiple sclerosis when severe cases of kidney stones were common. The risk of heart problems in these children was significantly increased.

While difficult scientists to answer the question, what forms the link between kidney and cardiovascular system. According to one of assumptions, the key role is played by chronic inflammation of urolithiasis.
