According to scientists at the University of Otago in Christchurch, eating two kiwifruit during the day improves mood and gives a good amount of energy.
A six-week study, which involved 54 volunteers, showed that a group of people who consumed two kiwifruit a day, less experienced fatigue, they decreased the risk of developing depression, increased strength, writes Medical Xpress. Those who did not consume kiwi, constantly eating other fruits, or not eat them at all, these positive effects were observed.
Experts believe that kiwi is an excellent source of energy for the whole day. In addition to the relatively high energy value, it has a high concentration of vitamin C, a powerful antioxidant that helps restore the body and increasing its protective functions. Margrit Vissers, the author of this study believes that not all useful properties of this vitamin is disclosed and is going to conduct some additional tests.
The main conclusion of the study: two kiwis a day give the daily dose of vitamin C, which has a beneficial effect on the immune system, the person's mood, the state of its internal environment, health during the day. Kiwi is one of the useful fruit and balanced diet and a diet rich in vegetables and fruits helps in proper functioning of the body.
