Experts from the University of Manchester proved that with severe mental disorders, help to manage Pets. In the survey, 54 mentally ill people it has been proven that more than half of the cases the communication with Pets improves mood and well-being of the people, writes The Hindustan Times.

A pet gives a person the feeling of support and the ability to care for them. Often people with mental disabilities can't find a common language with friends and family. In this case the animals can become a full-fledged companion. Moreover, Pets in schizophrenia are able to distract the person from the suicidal thoughts, voices and hallucinations.

Experts recommend to implement communication with animals in the complex of therapeutic measures for patients with mental illness. Apparently, this therapy has a powerful effect and does not require serious preparation on the part of the patient and doctors.
