The pulse is frequent, according to scientists from the University of Qingdao, markedly increases the risk of death from most causes. Interestingly, a speedy heartbeat even in the absence of cardiovascular pathology, affects the probability of death. To such conclusion the researchers came as part of the analysis of the results of 46 studies.
Scientists viewed 78 thousand cases of death and correlated the data with the heart rate in humans during life. It turned out that every 10 heart beats higher than normal increase the risk of death from any cause by 10%, and increases the likelihood of diseases of the cardiovascular system by 8%.
Note, the absolute risk of death from frequent pulse was negligible. Sometimes rapid pulse is characteristic of a specific organism. In some cases, is a manifestation of cardio-vascular dystonia.
