According to scientists from the Medical University of Athens omega-3 fatty acids reduce the physical damage to the human organism cigarettes.

The researchers assessed the effects of taking 2 grams of omega-3 fatty acids on the walls of the arteries heavy smokers. It turned out that a short course of omega-3 fatty acids improves the condition of the artery and mitigates harm to the elasticity of the vascular system of cigarettes.

The effect of omega-3 fatty acids is associated with several complex mechanism associated with anti-inflammatory and anti-sclerotic effect.
