About half of all the funds designed to protect the skin from the action of ultraviolet radiation, contain analogues of progesterone, the female hormone. These chemicals easily enter the bloodstream. In large quantities they can actually change the hormonal balance men.
Scientists have examined the effect of chemical compounds from sunscreens approved for sale in the USA, in the sperm of healthy men. Half of the investigated substances violated the activity of reproductive cells. A number of compounds interfere with the operation of calcium channels in sperm.
All of the above factors may prevent fertilization of an egg. In conjunction with quite common among men decreased activity of sperm, cream for sunburn can lead to temporary infertility and inability to have a baby.
