Study: weight affects a child's mental abilities

Obesity affects the learning process. This writes Pediatric Exercise Science, citing a recent survey. Children with obesity have a reduced ability to memorize information, planning of actions is affected by the weight and concentration.

In total the study involved two groups of children for 45 people the Age of the subjects ranged from 7 to 11 years. 24 children from the first group systematically engaged in sports, 21 children were not engaged in physical activity regularly. The second group of pillars consisted of children with overweight.

It turned out that the presence of extra pounds is reflected on the mental faculties of children. They are worse than others focused on performing specific tasks. Another important discovery reads as follows: exercise activates the brain children. A group of physically active students are better than others coped with the tasks of scientists.
