Study: Napping causes diabetes

A group of researchers from Tokyo University in Japan have proved that regular sleep in the afternoon can be a factor that triggers the development of diabetes. About the results of their scientific work tells the Telegraph.

On the conclusions of the study, the scientists said within

annual conference of the European Association for the study of diabetes, held in Munich.

Sleep in the afternoon with a duration of more than an hour increases the risk of developing diabetes by almost half. To such conclusion scientists came when analyzed the results of 20 scientific works.

The half-dream state, continuing more than an hour has a negative effect on health. Scientists suggest that during daytime sleep develops a qualitatively different phase of sleep, which is extremely small. It is even possible that sleep affects hormonal background of a person, but this information requires further confirmation from the evidence-based science.
