The attitude to homosexuality was strongly Ismailis in the United States over the past quarter century. The number of people with different sexual orientation increased during this time in half. People began to relate easier to the conclusion of same-sex marriages and neutral view on these families.
Scientists collected data in the period from 1973 to 2014. For such a long period of time managed to learn how to relate to homosexuals at the end of the last century, in which way this attitude changed at the beginning of the 21st century and continued to change over the years.
Conventionally, experts divided 25 years on two time interval from 1973 to 1990 and from 1990 to the present. In the first period, same-sex relationships was supported by only 11% of people. In the second – about 63%.
American culture for 25 years, has become more individualistic, focused on the equality of people regardless of their views on life. According to the new canons of the USA and Europe, the desire of a particular person is more important than social norms.
