Special glasses will help surgeons to recognize cancer

Scientists from the University of Washington in St. Louis began the development of special glasses for rapid diagnosis borders of the cancer. The novelty will be a useful tool for surgeons remove the tumor, says ScienceDaily. Today are the first tests of the device.

The display in the form of points equipped with a special camera that determines a contrast agent, entered into reaction with cancer cells. Labeled cells are located using video technology. The result is that the surgeon sees the clear boundaries of the pathological process, and may remove the tumor completely, to avoid metastasis.

The name scientists have yet to be invented. All tests meet the early stages of development, but already there is hope for a certain breakthrough in the treatment of cancer, including breast cancer.
