Spanish scientists found bacteria in breast milk

Scientists from Spain has compiled a list of all the bacteria that are found in breast milk. As it turned out, they charged about 700 bacteria, says Medical News Today. Thanks to these bacteria is regulated by the intestinal microflora of infants.

Bacteria were found in the DNA sequence. Their presence depends on many factors. The mother's milk, which is produced during pregnancy, called colostrum. It is very nutritious and palatable food for the baby. In it were found the notorious 700 bacteria.

Most of them are microbes such as Weissella, Lactococcus, Streptococcus, Staphylococcus and Leuconostoc, and in milk, which is produced during the following six months after birth prevail Veillonella, Prevotella, Leptotrichia.

Interestingly, in full milk of mothers of bacteria is much less, and mothers who gave birth by caesarean section, had less nutritious milk with the least amount of bacteria. Hence, it became clear that hormonal imbalance in a woman's body affect the quality of milk, as the stress faced by mothers during caesarean section.

Currently, scientists are working on the question of the role of bacteria in milk. For them it is important to know from what point of view they are more important: metabolic or immune. If it is discovered that the immune system depends more on the presence of bacteria, it means that certain additives in baby food will reduce the risk of asthma, allergies and autoimmune diseases.
