Some hormones cause a person to lie — scientists

High concentrations of cortisol and testosterone in the blood causes a person to speak the truth. This statement was made by scientists from Harvard University and the University of Texas. They proved that the male sex hormone and the stress hormone influence on human behavior.

117 the volunteers were asked to undergo testing. Before they measured hormone levels and said that the more correct answers will be received, the more prize money they can take home. Before passing the results to the experiment participants were allowed to check the answers for correctness.

At low levels of cortisol and testosterone volunteers are much less likely to change their answers to correct. The holders of more strong hormonal levels lied scientists easier for profit. How do hormones affect human behavior, experts are not yet disclosed.
