American scientific experts established unequivocally the untenability of the assumption that sheep are able to distinguish and identify our faces.
At the University of Cambridge conducted a series of unique experiments, which was able to refute the common belief that the sheep are supposedly able to recognize and get to know some people in their faces.
Similarly, the scientists from Newcastle University have completely criticized the previous studies. They consider them far-fetched and untrue. Researchers claim that sheep are not only unable to distinguish faces in the photo, they don't even remember the appearance of private owners.
While Mike Burton, Professor from Newcastle, believes the animals really learn to recognize faces. In his opinion, sheep are able to recognize individuals in a flock, and if they often demonstrate different people, over a period of time they begin to "know" them.
