Seafood reduce the risk of brain diseases – scientists

A number of abnormalities of the nervous system can be avoided if correctly to eat. Seafood, experts say, provide adequate nutrition to the neurons and help to avoid diseases of the brain in old age.

Senile dementia – a fairly common pathology. Studies prove that a sufficient amount of seafood in the diet reduces the likelihood of degeneration of the brain.

To prove their theory, scientists from the Medical center of rush University in Chicago was taken from dead people parts of the brain. All the deceased died in old age. The researchers analyzed the diet of these people and correlated the obtained information with the structural features of gray and white matter.

It turned out that the presence in the diet of seafood at least 1-2 times per week maintained normal structure of the brain. Scientists recommend to eat healthy and diverse to live a healthy life.
