Scientists warn: sugar is more dangerous to the heart than salt

Salt is essential to the human body in quantities of from three to six grams per day. Deficiency of salt may be dangerous, says Zee News. However, the current food offer salt with excess.

Scientists warn against excessive consumption of salt and sugar. Sweet foods affect your blood pressure, increase the likelihood of being obese and developing diabetes. Extra pounds put additional pressure on the heart, contribute to the deposition of cholesterol on the vascular walls.

Sometimes we don't notice how much sugar is consumed. In a small pot of soda can contain a few tablespoons of sugar. Often manufacturers use sweeteners that are not less dangerous with regular admission.

Sugar provides a minimum of 25% of the required calories. Consumption of more than 74 grams of fructose and glucose increases by one third the risk of hypertension, obesity and diabetes.
