Scientists: video games with motion sensors useful for children

Scientists from the University of Tennessee proved during an active video game, children move more than during walks in the fresh air. The experiment involved children 5-8 years, scientists have estimated their level of physical activity during different types of activity.

During the study, each child once played active video games and hanging out with special movement sensors. Similar technology was used in the computer games Xbox 360 Kinect. Special camera tracked the movements of the child and send data to scientists.

The level of physical activity during the games were a little higher. Scientists do not call for the replacement of fresh air for computer entertainment. Not to forget, a Playground is not only a means of consumption, but also a place where the child learns to communicate with peers.
