Scientists: touchscreen phones affect brain activity

Experts from the University of Zurich conducted an experiment and found: touch gadgets make separate areas of the brain to work more actively. You can compare the use of touch devices with playing the violin. Both classes activate the projection area of the cortex.

Only the study involved 37: 26 enjoyed smartphones with touch control, the rest are normal keypad phones. Scientists have observed in the first group more active areas of the brain responsible for movement of the body.

A similar reaction is observed in musicians who play the violin. In the case of a musical instrument and the use of touch-screen smart phone is actively using the fingers, these actions activate the same areas of the brain, writes Current Biology.
