Stress helps to cope with bad habits and get rid of them. So say scientists from the University of Bath in the UK. According to one theory, during times of stress in humans is activated the second the subconscious mind that helps to quickly acquire knowledge and make decisions.
Scientists have assembled a group of 800 volunteers. Half of them were initially in stressful conditions, people have recently changed their place of residence. People before the beginning of the study talked to psychologists, and experts told volunteers about the benefits of a healthy lifestyle, frequent walks.
It turned out that a healthy lifestyle were largely able to reach people who have moved to a new location. A change of scenery, scientists believe, is not only stressful, but a great excuse to change your life for the better.
