Scientists: the Internet drug for human brain

A group of Chinese scientists conducted a study which proved that Internet addiction is directly related to the violation of conductive pathways in the cerebral cortex. Particularly affected areas responsible for attention, emotions, decision making.

The study involved 35 people aged 14 to 22 years. During detailed survey half of them pleaded Internet dependent. Helped in this questionnaire with a number of psychological issues.

After the survey subjects were examined using MRI machine. It turned out that the processes occurring in the brain, dependent on the Internet, have a lot in common with the problems of drug addicts and alcoholics.

Note that in the United States began to practice the treatment of Internet addiction in private clinics. Psychiatrists make sure that the person refused a constant holding time of the monitor in favor of real communication. Scientists have noted that the trend towards Internet based only growing and gaining momentum.
