Scientists: sunlight affects the behavior of people and reduces the number of suicides

Sunny weather and being outdoors can significantly reduce the risk of suicide among men and women. Risk is reduced through 14-60 days of good weather. Sunlight triggers the production of serotonin, the hormone of joy and happiness, writes The Times of India.

Researchers have studied the relationship between the number of suicides and day length. Only able to analyze almost 70 thousand registered in Austria suicides. Studied the period from 1970 to 2010. The data was in the form of charts and put them on the length of day length, weather conditions collected 86 meteorological stations.
