Scientists: obese people are less productive at work

Researchers from the technical University of Virginia and the University of Buffalo in the USA established that obese people are worse to cope with any job. Experts even managed to set the ratio to 40%.

In the study, researchers gathered a group of 32 volunteers, who were divided by body type and age. All volunteers were required to complete a series of tasks endurance. Scientists have pinpointed the time needed to perform tasks, writes Kedem.

It was found that the presence of obesity reduces the productivity of a person in an average of 40%. Overweight disrupts the blood supply to all organs and systems. As a result, the body gets enough oxygen and energy. Therefore, obese people get tired quicker and less tolerant of load. They need frequent rest.
