Singing is one of the most effective ways of establishing friendly relations, say experts from Oxford University. They conducted an experiment in which introduced people in a variety of settings: from literature circles to joint singing lessons.
The song is best helped to get closer, reports The Independent. This is evidenced by the results of a survey of volunteers at the beginning and at the end of the experiment. During the month many couples have become real friends.
Note that the fastest singing brings people together, but over time the level of intimacy becomes approximately the same and does not depend on the type of joint arrangement. Instead of singing lessons scientists propose to use the karaoke machine more accessible and interesting for most people.
