Experts from the University of Colorado in the United States of America found a natural substitute for meat. As it turned out, the content of protein and other essential human nutrients the insects were not inferior to beef or pork.
In some insect species, the protein and carbohydrate content is even higher at 20% than beef. Even insect meat is much fatter which makes it really rich product.
At the moment, eating insects instead of meat has two positive sides. From the point of view of preserving the environment, reducing meat consumption is extremely justified. Enterprise for production of meat products emit a huge amount of dangerous chemical compounds into the atmosphere.
There is another point of view. Poor countries can't afford to eat meat in sufficient quantity. That is why insects for them – need a source of animal protein and fat.
