In the experiment, the scientists created a new kind of bacteria. To study this microorganism was not on our planet. Scientists have named a bacterium JCVI-syn3.0.

Initially experts did not set out to create artificial life. They just wanted to check, what is the minimum number of genes necessary for independent life a single-celled organism. As the basis scientists took a bacterium Mycoplasma mycoides. Its genome consists of 901 gene. Experiments with DNA reduced the amount of information in the nucleus twice. As a result there was obtained a completely new bacterium with unique properties.

While scientists can't say which of the deleted genes. They may not play any role and are evolutionary ballast. But the study proves that there is no "life force" does not exist. Any cell can be reduced to molecular formulas and genes.
