Scientists from Russia check the activity of the drug against swine flu in respect of the Ebola virus

Specialists from the State research center of Virology and biotechnology "Vector" (, Novosibirsk) testing the drug, developed previously for the prevention and treatment of avian and swine flu. Now scientists are trying to prove its activity when infected with Ebola virus.

A drug called "IFN-Lient" can act on the pathogen fever and help in treating the disease. In the basis of medicine lies the modified interferon molecules which are placed in the liposomes.

Liposome is a sphere of fats inside which you can place the active drug. Themselves liposomes are microscopic, such particles are better transported and absorbed in the human body.

While the study does not. The researchers plan to publish the results in early 2015.
