Scientists from Japan will fight with leukemia with stem cells

The team from Japan undertook the development of a new drug to treat leukemia. In based on induced stem cells that are able under certain conditions to become virtually any other cell culture. Scientists believe that the technology can become the basis for effective treatment of blood cancer.

Note that previous studies show great potential of using stem cells in the treatment of cancer. The first experiments will be carried out on animals. Once the technology will be pre-testing, it will begin to use volunteers with leukemia. The first tests on humans will be held in 2019.

Note, not all scholars consider this method of treatment seriously, some are skeptical about the idea of Japanese experts. According to experts, stem cells can provoke the appearance of new tumors.
