Scientists: friendship is the best remedy for the pain

Experts from Oxford (UK) proved that along with another person much easier to live with the pain. The presence in society helps to cope not only with a sense of loneliness, but also with the physical suffering.

The experiment involved 107 volunteers. First, the subjects completed the survey, which was shared with professionals data on the number of friends. In the second stage of the study volunteers were asked to sit by the wall with bent at a 90 degree angle with your knees. The position was required to keep as long as possible. Note, even a short stay in this position causes pain.

When people were in company, the pain was easier. Volunteers become more patient.

While experts find it difficult to answer how much social interactions influence pain sensitivity. Perhaps this question will be the subject for future research.
