Regular consumption of canned vegetables has a positive effect on health, according to scientists from the University of California. They found that canned food is better than no fruit and vegetables in the diet. There are, however, canned food is one drawback: they contain quite a lot of calories due to the sugar and butter. Index diet in adults who regularly consume canned vegetables and fruits, amounted to 49 out of 100 vs. 47.4 points from peers who do not eat canned food. Similar results were obtained by scientists when analysing the diet of children.

With canned vegetables the children get protein, vitamin A, trace elements. Do not underestimate this group of products. Scientists recommend to prefer canned food with a minimum content of salt, sugar and oil. Before the use of vegetable liquid to drain better, and wash vegetables.
