The relationship between hair colour and intelligence – a common myth. In the latest study, scientists from Ohio University have proved that the IQ of blondes even higher than that of brunettes, redheads and brown-haired. Tells about this edition of Prothom Alo.
The researchers analyzed information on more than 10 thousand women from the USA. The age of the subjects ranged between 14 and 21 years. The participants of the experiment were tested to determine the level of intelligence. The test consisted of several parts, including the ability to mathematical and humanitarian thinking.
The average IQ for blondes amounted to 103.2, for the chestnut – 102,3, red was average IQ of 100.5. The difference is small and it can be attributed to the error margin.
While the data show that there is no connection between hair color and mental development of people. Therefore, discrimination at work women with blond hair lacks scientific justification.
