Scientists: babies do not have enough vitamin a

In a study using laboratory mice, scientists were able to establish some features of synthesis and preservation of vitamin A in living organisms. In infancy vitamin is rapidly formed, but does not have time to concentrate in large quantities. The highest concentration of the substance accumulates in the liver cells.

Interestingly, the need for vitamin A for the newborn child is not confirmed. The impact of this biological substance in the neonatal age are not fully understood. However, studies suggest the vitamin deficiency in newborns from developing countries. Russia is among them.

Scientists give positive numbers in countries where vitamin A deficiency fight. If children at an early age receive complexes with vitamin, mortality in children from 6 months to 5 years reduced by 23%. These figures require detailed consideration, but they also draw attention to the importance of proper feeding a baby. Note, according to the who, the best nutrient for the newborn baby is breast milk of the mother.
