Russian scientists will create a unique drug against Allergy

According to statistics, the Allergy is every fourth inhabitant of the planet. In some cases, severe Allergy pass in bronchial asthma, anaphylactic shock, and other conditions that threaten human life. Researchers from Siberian state medical University (SSMU) are preparing to create the world's first drug that can beat allergies, not hide the symptoms.

"In humans are T lymphocytes, which are responsible for increasing the immune response. T helper 1 (Th1) contribute to the development of cellular immune response and T helper 2 (Th2) elicit humoral immune response. Th2 produce substances that have a direct relationship with negative symptoms of allergies and asthma. When the allergen enters the body, "naive" lymphocytes (T cells that have not "seen" alien antigens) become Th2-cells. The result is an allergic reaction. Our product will shift the balance towards Th1-cells", - says Ksenia Rovkina, researchers from Siberian state medical University.

Modern anti-Allergy drugs, though effective, but only removed the symptoms by blocking H1-histamine receptors. The new drug will be available for children and adults. Now requires the creation of a basis for determining the safety of medicines and its effectiveness.
