Russia may ban snuff and chewing tobacco

The Ministry of health will assume the introduction of a new law prohibiting the sale of snuff and chewing tobacco. The agreement should fully withdraw from legal trade these types of tobacco products.

The ban is due to two factors. The first is the transition from area to other ways to use nicotine in public places. Smoking in cafes, restaurants, cinemas banned, other methods do not. Employees of the Ministry of health consider this unfair.

The second is the impact of tobacco use on mucous membranes. Chewing tobacco and snuff provokes cancer of the oral cavity and pharynx. The ban will help to reduce cancer incidence and to improve the overall health of Russian citizens.
