In the program "Sunday night" Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin promised that by 2020 Russia will build three nuclear-powered icebreaker of the new generation.
"Now a resource of the current icebreaker fleet ends, ends. So 2017-the year - the first ship, 2019 and 2020. We are on schedule, and Russia by 2020 will be a new icebreaker fleet, which will provide the wiring caravans, ships along the Northern sea route", - said Rogozin.
On Tuesday Deputy Prime Minister will visit the Baltic plant in St. Petersburg, to lay the groundwork first serial nuclear icebreaker of new generation, and then begin mass production.
