To retirement, many people start to live a healthy lifestyle: more walking, less Smoking and drinking alcohol. This is indicated by the results of the scientists from Australia. They are confident that retirement has a positive effect on the health of the person.

Free time allows you to spend it on sports and walks, writes Journal of Preventative Medicine. Researchers from the University of Sydney collected information about the lifestyle 25 thousand pensioners of Australia. It turned out that many people after retirement was to quit Smoking, reduce alcohol consumption.

Also increased physical activity volunteers. Free time was pushing them to new achievements. Studies also show that the elderly have started spending as on average 93 minutes per week more and sleep for 11 minutes.
