Scientists from the Polytechnic school in Lausanne found that resveratrol contained in red wine and pomegranate, is, by their definition, the "miracle ingredient", as thanks to him, a person increases energy potential and increases life expectancy. His study of the French researchers conducted on worms, confident that this method will also help people to live much longer.
It was found that resveratrol increased the lifespan of worms by almost 60 percent. In addition to wine, it's also found in this plant as "Japanese knotweed". A more detailed study is published in the journal "Nature".
Being a natural phenol, in most cases, the resveratrol contained in the roots of Japanese knotweed". It is extracted from this plant for commercial purposes. The plant begins to develop in those cases when it is attacked by pathogens such as fungi or bacteria. Effects of resveratrol have been studied already in more than one study.
For example, in experiments on rodents have shown that resveratrol has anti-inflammatory and anticancer properties, and additionally, it reduces the level of glucose in the blood and has a positive influence on the system of heart and blood vessels.
