Scientists also suggest that you combine mental and physical activity even in very old age. That is the only way to maintain sobriety of mind for many years, writes The Hindustan Times.

One of the key problems faced by the nervous system older people, it is the asymmetry of the brain. With age, some areas of brain shrink faster than others. This leads to deterioration of memory, cognitive abilities. Scientists have found that physical activity is able to resist a pathological process.

Researchers from the University of Tsukuba have created an image of the brain by means of neuroimaging. It was shown that in good shape the brain also works at a decent level. If the physical condition is poor, mental exercises, most likely, no effect will not give.
