New experiences improve brain function – scientists

Experts from the University of Edinburgh with the support of colleagues from the University of Texas in one of the latest experiments proved that the brain for the intellectual development of vital new experiences. According to researchers, the new emotional experience activates the right parts of the nervous system and triggers the release of dopamine, the hormone of happiness.

In the experiment, the researchers had before the lab rats the food from different angles. The location of food faster remember, if an animal before experience was a new experience. For example, was in another cage.

Perhaps the fact that the new experience gives a portion of dopamine in the "blue spot" of the brain. That's why scientists recommend to periodically change the situation. Enough to go away for the weekend to another city to upgrade and get virtually free energy boost in the long term.
