Modest and shy children are more obese

Researchers from Emory University have proved that shy children are more likely to prefer unhealthy foods. Under equal conditions, such children suffer from lack of physical activity, writes Science World Report.

Scientists collected data on 8346 children, were estimated mass index at age 9 to 11 years. Data was associated with the level of mental development and the degree of activity in society (communication with parents, classmates, friends).
