Mild dehydration leads to mood swings

Mild dehydration affects mood and cognitive functions.

Researchers from tufts University found that the main causing headache, loss of concentration, fatigue and bad mood factor was dehydration after exercise or during rest.

Measured change in the status of women with moderate dehydration, 1 percent below the required level of hydration. The experiment was attended by 25 women, while for men it was not carried out, probably dehydration has the same effect.

To avoid dehydration, you should drink plain water and drinks without alcohol and caffeine. Although scientists are still not able to decide how much water to drink per day (up to eight glasses a day), the easiest way is to check the color of your urine. If it is dark, not light, almost transparent, you need to drink more water.
