Migraine can lead to paralysis of the facial nerve

Migraine often occurs headaches, dizziness, nausea, and disorder of the gastrointestinal tract. Experts from the National University Yang-Min found that patients with migraine have an increased risk of facial nerve palsy in two times. Apparently, the disease is common mechanisms, reports Zee News.

Only the study involved more than 136 thousand people over the age of 18 years. Researchers divided the volunteers into two groups: people with migraine with and without the disease. Next came the monitoring phase, which lasted three years. During this period the disease was diagnosed in 671 person among patients with migraine and 365 people without migraine.
