Scientists of the University of Notre Dame (Indiana) found an interesting fact. It turned out that most men lose interest in sex after the birth of their first child. The solution lies in the levels of the sex hormone testosterone.
High levels of this hormone provides sexual attraction to the opposite sex. The anthropologist Does Gettler conducted a study which compared the health survey of 400 men aged from 21 to 26 years. After the birth of first child the testosterone level decreased significantly. In addition, men with low testosterone often complained about the lack of attraction to women.
It is not clear what has caused the decline of the hormone. It is known that the decrease after the birth of a child is not so high as to affect the health and quality of life of men.
