Scientists from Tilburgse University conducted a survey of 5,000 people and decide who was crying of happiness. Women, according to the results, cried four times more often than men. But the tears of happiness in the eyes of the men appeared much more often, writes The Daily Mail.
The causes tears were approximately equal for the two sexes: the loss of a loved one, separation, warm memories, internal impotence. Women are more likely to cry over little things: petty conflicts, criticism from strangers, broken household appliances.
Men gave vent to emotions in the case of happiness. A win of their favorite team, the birth of a child caused men tear of happiness more often than women. Interestingly, in the Nordic countries, women cry more often than in the South.
