Marijuana will help in the treatment of autoimmune diseases

Tetrahydrocannabinol is a substance contained in the Smoking drug marijuana. This connection may be the basis of a treatment for autoimmune diseases, says Zee News, citing a study conducted by researchers at the Medical school of the University of South Carolina.

Tetrahydrocannabinol is able to influence mRNA. The data were confirmed after the experience in laboratory animals. It was discovered 13 mRNA samples which were significantly changed under the influence of substances. the mRNA has a key impact on the manifestation of a part of the expressed genes and affects the immune system.

Normally mRNA has a braking function on the genetic material. The changes, which causes tetrahydrocannabinol, help some diseases with autoimmune nature to persist in its infancy and not show up. Thus, the extraction of narcotic plants are able to exert anti-inflammatory effect and reduce the manifestation of autoimmune diseases.

Most scientists are interested in mRNA-600. Its activity increased sharply after the introduction of substances. This structure affects the protein C/EBP alpha. This protein activates cells that suppress inflammation. The inclusion of mRNA-600 negated all the results. Scientists plan in the near future to find a way out of the situation.
