Marijuana may be a new cure for cancer

Experts from Haskovo Technion (Israel) are developing tools for cancer based on the active compounds contained in the leaves of marijuana. Today the plant is used in medicine as a means to increase appetite, chronic pain, migraine, nausea.

Cannabis, scientists believe, may slow the growth of cancer cells and even destroy them. Now scientists are busy researching 50 kinds of cannabinoids and the influence of nutrients on the growth and development of cancer cells. Preliminary tests show the effectiveness of drugs based on plants.

Interestingly, each individual cannabinoid has an impact. This encourages scientists to further research and development prior therapeutic regimens on the basis of several active substances.
