Magnetic brain stimulation enhances recovery of motor function in humans

American doctors have recorded positive effects of magnetic brain stimulation in restoring the ability to walk in stroke patients. It is reported by the specialized edition of The Deccan Chronicle.

Medical statistics show about 30% of patients experiencing severe mobility challenges, even 6 months after stroke.

Scientists conducted a comparative analysis of the results 9 research on the effects of transcranial magnetic stimulation on the brain of stroke survivors. It turned out that patients in which treatment was applied non-invasive method, much faster started.

Meanwhile, the influence of magnetic stimulation on recovery of function, balance and other abilities, has not been established. Experts continue to study the method for its application in stroke rehabilitation.
