Lack of sleep is more dangerous than Smoking, say scientists

Experts from the world health organization (who) concluded that a constant lack of sleep more dangerous for the human body than Smoking. Lack of sleep leads to the development of obesity, stress, increases the likelihood of chronic diseases.

The study itself took the scientists more than 20 years. It was attended by 657 men aged 25 to 64 years. In the beginning, all volunteers were asked to undergo a full medical examination. None of the subjects at this point have not had a stroke or heart attack, was of volunteers and of diabetes with heart disease.

Next, the researchers conducted surveillance of the group. People suffering from regular sleep deprivation, more often suffered a heart attack. Lack of sleep, the researchers said, raises the risk of stroke by 4 times, the risk of heart attack increases twice, as problems with excess weight.

According to the recommendations of the medical profession, a person needs to sleep 8-10 hours a day. Only 30 minutes of sleep per day can cause serious consequences from the health.
