Just 10 minutes of exercise can improve brain function

Easy 10 minute workout improves brain function. To this conclusion came experts of the University of California and University of Tsukuba, writes Xinhua.

Experts were invited to participate in the experiment, 36 volunteers. Participants were required to test once a day for 10 minutes to do light physical exercise, then you need to take a memory test. The test is quite simple: the experts were shown pictures, and the participants of the experiment must be remembered. The same trebovalos from a group of people who are not trained.

The researchers also tested brain activity of some participants during the experiment. They found enhanced connectivity between regions of the brain involved in the storage of information.

The results of the study showed that those who have long regularly engaged in physical exercise, have better memory. Experts note that the experiment involved two groups consisting solely of young people.

"Our main goal is to try to develop a prescription of exercise especially for older people who through simple physical exercises would be able to prevent cognitive decline," said Michael Yassa, co-author of the study and neurologist at the University of California, Irvine.
