Intestinal bacteria help in the treatment of depression

Researchers in the UK found that correction of bowel flora can significantly improve a person's mental state and to relieve him from symptoms of apathy and depression. Come to the aid of supplements, prebiotics, consisting of a nutrient medium for bacteria.

Experiments conducted on animals confirm the effectiveness of treatment aimed at recovery of the intestinal microflora during the depression. The mouse used in the experiment, prebiotics, became calmer, they had decreased levels of the hormone cortisol (stress hormone).
